ITR-1 Form Filing
ITR-1 SAHAJ Form is the most commonly used income tax form by the individuals to file their annual tax return with the Income Tax Department of India. An individual who has earned an annual income within the limit of ₹50 lakhs and the source of income has been Salaries or Pension, House Property and other sources excluding lottery, racehorses, legal gambling, etc., are eligible to file their IT Return using ITR-1. However, an individual who has earned income from foreign assets, agricultural income over ₹5000, Income from Business or Profession and Income from more than one house property aren’t eligible to file tax under this form.

Method of Filing Tax
Assesses can file ITR-1 Form in multiple ways such as – return can be filed in paper form, the return can be filed using a digital signature, the return can be filed using electronic verification code or return can be filed online followed by submission of ITR-V by post.
Eligibility for Paper Filing
A person of the age 80 years or above or a person whose HUF income isn’t more than ₹5 lakhs and has no refund to claim can file ITR-1 form on paper.
An eligible individual should file ITR-1 form on or prior 31st July every year.
Along with the ITR-1 form individual taxpayer has to attach a copy of PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Bank Passbooks and Form 16.
